Wow I am an incredibly lucky lady!
Why you may ask, for some of you it may be obvious but for those of you that it is not, I will explain.
I work at one of the best schools (if not the best) school I can work at. I have the pleasure of working with some of the most motivated pupils and hard working teachers I could wish to work with. Not to mention a passionate and driven CA team.
These past few weeks I have been so impresed with so many things I have seen around the school. Our sixth formers are really leading by example, the hard work and effort they are putting into their studies is impressive. We held our first sixth form meeting last week, where we reviewed their progress and the school after half term 1. All pupils graded the school between 9 and 10, we had a feel good factor of 9.569. We have asked what we need to do to get the last half of a % and are clear what we need to do to achieve a 10!
The House captains along with sixth form are working so hard on their House Music Competition, which you will be hearing about shortly. I hope everyone can attend and you encourage more people to attend to ensure this event is a huge success. I will give you a sneak preview, there may be some dancing from some of our KS4 & 5 boys.
We are two weeks into our second half term and it has started with a bang. Pupils have sat their first mini mock assessments and the results have been pleasing, we are looking forward to another great year of results here at Cottingham Campus.
Our new RP Mrs Caroline Gray will be visiting the school tomorrow for the first time, I have to say I am excited to show her around our school. I am sure she will be as impressed as I am. I look forward to feeding back on her visit and her observations of Cottingham Campus.
