We are now in our last week of this half term, where has the time gone?

The year has started with a bang at Cottingham Campus, we have been extremely busy.

The pupils have reshuffled and joined their new house teams, we have had our first house competition, which was a huge success.

The pupils last week took part in their first House Football tournament, where the pupils played a grueling 8 matches of 10 minutes each. I was lucky enough to be able to participate in the games as a last minute stand in referee. I donned my Focus School PE Kit and had a rundown of the rules of 5 a side football on the way to Goals, our PE Venue for this half term. It was a privilege to see the talent and enthusiasm displayed by all of our pupils. Their commitment to their house teams was admirable and the team working ethos that was displayed was exemplary. I have plenty of merits to award.

We are in our final preparations for the Presentation Day on Friday where we are inviting our pupils back to school to collect their certificates, we will also be announcing who has won the coveted DUX awards for KS4 & 5.

I am also pleased to announce that last week, along with the help of year 7 and year 10 we interviewed and successfully appointed a new Food Teacher Mrs Neal and History Teacher Mrs Shipley. Both members of staff have already been in touch to let me know how excited they are to join the school. We feel that they are great additions to Team Cottingham.

I look forward to seeing you on Friday. Please remember if you are travelling home with your children and they do not require One Bus transportation, please advise your local One Bus coordinator.

Kind Regards

Mrs K Hutton
